Mohammed is a PhD student in Linguistics at George Mason University, where he also earned his M.A. in Linguistics. His research interests include phonetics, phonology, sociolinguistics, and second language acquisition, with a particular focus on Arabic and English. His current research explores speech sound patterns using phonetic corpora, such as the Buckeye Corpus, as well as the acquisition of English pronunciation by different L1 learners of English. He is also interested in language teaching and applied linguistics.
