Computational Linguistics for Low Resource Languages
I specialize in the application of computational methods to language documentation, with a focus on endangered and under-resourced languages. My research explores how digital tools can enhance the documentation and analysis of linguistic data in resource-limited contexts. My current projects include work on Kulung (Kiranti, Tibeto-Burman) and Akuzipik (St. Lawrence Island Yupik), incorporating automatic transcription, annotation, and machine translation into documentation pipelines.
