This seminar examines the current research on language revitalization, including both theoretical and practical questions. Readings will highlight community-based approaches and the intersections with language documentation and description, but students can focus on any approach to revitalization in their own semester research.

Recommended Prerequisite: LING 500 or 506 and related LING 531, 532, 533, 535, 536, 537 or 538 depending on instructor and topic 1-2 semesters of coursework in the topic of study or permission of instructor
