An introduction to field methods in linguistics for language documentation and description. Students engage in linguistic fieldwork with a speaker of a particular language and undertake original research with the resulting language data. May not be repeated for credit.
Recommended Prerequisite: LING 520 or equivalent
Registration Restrictions:

Enrollment limited to students with a class of Advanced to Candidacy, Graduate, Junior Plus, Non-Degree or Senior Plus.

Students in a Non-Degree Undergraduate degree may not enroll.
